About Hemp Paper Company

We build hemp paper bags and packaging to replace tree-based paper with a stronger, cleaner fiber—at scale.

Our Story

Ben Draper
Founder & CEO

Hemp Paper Company was founded by Benjamin Grant Bocephus Draper to build the most sustainable paper on the planet—using hemp, the future of fiber, to replace tree-based packaging with something stronger and cleaner

Benjamin Draper—an experienced entrepreneur with a background in product supply—recognized that an ancient, proven fiber could offer a better solution. Working with established partner mills, the company transformed an ambitious idea into a real-world product line built on hemp.

Our Mission

Our mission is to make hemp the default fiber for paper packaging. Trees take decades. Hemp grows fast, performs better, and can be produced without pretending sustainability is a marketing slogan. We’re here to build the most sustainable paper on the planet—and make it good enough that switching is an easy business decision.

What We Provide

Tree-free hemp paper bags and packaging—custom printed, retail-ready, and built to perform.

Strength and Sustainability:

Hemp is a stronger fiber than trees, and it regrows fast. That means durable paper packaging with a lighter footprint—and a supply chain that doesn’t require cutting forests to grow.

Practical Impact:

Real packaging for real operations. Easy to adopt, consistent to reorder, and built to perform at scale.

American Roots, Global Vision:

American-made, global-ready. The goal is simple: make hemp paper normal—so brands can switch without shortages, friction, or compromises.

Why Hemp?

Hemp is a better raw material for paper. It grows fast, uses less water, and produces a strong fiber that can outperform wood pulp. That means less pressure on forests, fewer harsh chemicals, and packaging that holds up in the real world. We’re not here to “do less bad.” We’re here to make the better material the standard.

The Future

We’re building beyond bags into a full hemp packaging line—hangtags, cartons, and corrugated. The goal is simple: make hemp paper packaging easier to buy, easier to reorder, and easier to scale than tree-based options. When the better option is the easiest option, the market flips.
